Burss, Delbert E. (15 APR 1894 – 13 JUL 1971)

Delbert E. Burss, 77, passed away Tuesday morning, July 13, 1971 t his home. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 o'clock at the thorp Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robert Olson performed the services, with burial in East Thorp Cemetery.

Military services were performed at the grave side.

He was born April 15, 1894. He has been living in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) most of his life. He retired 15 years ago from farming. He was a Veteran of World War I, a member of Cecil Tormey Post.

On April 15, 1932 he was married to Catherine Strugala.

Surviving besides his widow is one sister, Carrie Burss, of Hannibal, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers. Pallbearers were Tony, Jack, and Joe Lewin, Frances Hedler, Wilferd Vanderhyden, Ray Grendzinski, and John Barth.
