Memorial Day, 1971, was a day to be remembered by members of Our Saviors. It was on that day a pot luck dinner with roast pork was served at noon with Ronald Tieman, Arnie Kappus, and Bernard Denk roasting the pigs over charcoal fire. The pigs had been furnished by members of the congregation, namely, Lyle Verhulst and Calvin Johnson. At a service in the P.M. the mortgage, closing a debt of approximately $92,000, was burned. Pastor Myhrwold was theguest speaker.

So far as we know, Mr. Emil Kolstad is the oldest living confirmant. He was confirmed in 1894. His parents were among the first members of United Lutheran.

For all these things, we give our many thanks to Him. May we ask Him to "Lead On, 0 King Eternal," that we may go "On Our Way Rejoicing" and continue to grow in grace before Him.
