Post card sent by Val Volk to wife Bertha while she was visiting in Milwaukee Wis. Card was sent twice, two address 2645 Bismark St. and 1367 6 St; Milwaukee Wis.  In care of Ch. Winters.

Message:  Greenwood, Wis; Aug 27

I got your card was up to Bob Zetcher Camp last Sunday. Talk about dinner.  (Unreadable) Fahys, Petersons, Zetchers, Ed Fahy and Hermanns Familys came up.  We got 17 fish Sunday. Have a good time and if you need any more money let me know.  Val

Message: Abbotsford, Wisc; March 19, 1920

 

Dear Cousin, Recd your card and we were glad to hear from you, well you were lucky and we hope you wond(sp) get sick no more as I think the “Flue” is going to a end more again.  We all were sick at one time with the “Flue”.  The Neighbors don our chores & Willie felt a little better so he was able to take care of us 3, looked bad here for a while, we are all picking up only myself.  I feel so weak & rumy (sp) yet and hoping these few lines will reach you both well and happy.  Your Cousin, A. Gosse.

Message: Dear Aunt  & Uncle:

How do you like the looks of this bunch of Indians.  Quite a reed section, U. Val.  Have given a couple of concerts downtown already.  Play for Gen. Funsten (sp) on Monday nite.  Floyd Volk.
