Building) Records show that Warlum & Robinson, electrical and
plumbing contractors, were located in this building from
approximately 1930 to 1950. Wayne Trimberger located his law offices
here from the mid 1950s to mid 1980s. Other attorneys connected with
this firm were Frank Vasquez and Trimberger’s Daughter, Diane.
#23 Hewett Commons 633 Hewett St. (South Building) Beginning in
about 1910 to 1937 when a new Post Office was built, this building
housed the Neillsville Post Office. Information about use of the
building until the mid 1980s when it was remodeled to house a
collection of offices including a realtor and an accounting office
is not available at this time. It continues to be used for office
space today.

#25 Neillsville Post Office 619 Hewett St.
This post office was built as a W.P.A. project in 1937 during
F.D.R.’s administration on the historic site of the O’Neill House a
landmark hotel constructed by Neillsville’s founder, James O’Neill.
A visitor to Neillsville should visit the Post Office building to
view the mural created by a W.P.A. artist depicting Neillsville’s
1854 Whiskey Election on the wall inside. |
