THE CRIMSON AND WHITE

Football (Continued)

Center, Donald Dixon: All Conference-Second Team. Big and strong, Don was always in there where the going was toughest; at the bottom of every pileup.

Right Guard, Vance Shaw: All-Conference Guard. A thoroughly dependable ball player - - hard charger, good tackler. Vance has twice been an all conference selection - Captain elect 1935.

Right Tackle, Harold Vandeberg: This was Harold's first year on the squad. He developed into a good tackler and defensive player. Watch this boy next year.

Right End, Carl Gasson: All-Conference--Second Team. A sure pass receiver, Carl developed into a fine defensive and offensive end. His fighting charging spirit carried him into opponents backfields and upset many a play.

Quarter Back, Clifford Arndt: Small-but shifty. He is the possessor of a fighting heart and "never say quit" spirit. But did some nice work this season. His ability as a drop kicker pulled us out of many a tight place.

Left Half, Lowell Schoengarth, Captain 1933. All-Conference Fullback 1934. Lowell possesses all the qualities of an ideal back. He is powerful, rugged, fast and shifty. Lowell could find holes in opponent's lines; he was a fine shifty open field runner and was hard to bring down. In addition to being a fine player, Lowell directed the play of the Neillsville team that past three seasons. He was powerful on defense, a good passer, and pass receiver.

Right Half, Mitchell Whiterabbit: Small, but fast and shifty. He is an excellent passer, blocker, and open field runner - a splendid defensive player: he smashed through and broke up opposition play before they were started.

Full Back, Harley Jake: Big powerful, a splendid punter and defensive player. Harley pulled us out of many a tight spot with his excellent kicking. Harley should developed into a real threat.

Guard, Neil Warren: A fast charger and good tackler, Neil was always a reliable man to fall back on.

Guard and Full Back, Dale Elliott: Big and Strong; Dale made an excellent relief man, when the going was tough.

Quarter Back, Henry Frantz: Light but fast. Hand was always there to give and take for Neillsville.

End: John Flynn: Handicapped by size, John was willing mixer, always willing to help out.

Basketball (Continued)

His uncanny ability in getting rebounds was outstanding. Hugh was a fine all around team player.

All tournament second team. Abbotsford 1934.

All tournament first team, Abbotsford 1935.

Lowell Schoengarth - Guard: He was a natural sportsman with initiative and rugged individualism, a good offensive and defensive basketball man. "Judge" is on of the best guards ever put out in this school.

All tournament second team, Abbotsford 1934

All tournament first team, Abbotsford 1935.

Oluf Olson - Guard: He is a small man, but very fast; a good shot from the field. Oluf is the last of the Olsons, and we are sorry to lost him this year.

All tournament second team, Abbotsford 1934.

Bud Arndt: He is a little man, but might in his ways.

Carroll Schield - An excellent shot - big things are expected from Carroll next year.

Norman Lynch: He is big and rugged with three years left to play.

Murray Whiterabbit: Like his brother he is fast and clever on the floor.
