He transferred to the Army Air Force and on their flight to Italy was killed in an air craft at the Azore Islands; Which was a refueling stop. Killed in an air craft at U.S. Army Air Force on Azoe Island during WWII. He was a CPL Gunner. Buried Plot X Row 9 Grave 214 at the U.S. Military Cemetery Neuville-En-Condroz,Leige, Belgium. -- Notes from Calvin Worchel (Harley's brother). * * * * * * I think they were living near Greenwood at the time Harley had enlisted in the service, uncertain for sure. I know that his parents and a brother own landed in the town of Seif, Clark County, Wis. I would have to get in touch with a cousin to find out where Harley was living at the time frame. Here is a photo of Harley A. Worchel. I am uncertain of when the photo was taken.
