Harley was drafted out of Greenwood High School into the U.S. Army. He trained as an Anti-Aircraft Gunner. He transferred to the Army Air Force and on their flight to Italy was killed in an air craft at the Azore Islands; Which was a refueling stop. Killed in an air craft at U.S. Army Air Force on Azoe Island during WWII. He was a CPL Gunner. Buried Plot X Row 9 Grave 214 at the U.S. Military Cemetery Neuville-En-Condroz,Leige, Belgium.

I think they were living near Greenwood at the time Harley had enlisted in the service, uncertain for sure. I know that his parents and a brother own landed in the town of Seif, Clark County, Wis. I would have to get in touch with a cousin to find out where Harley was living at the time frame.
