Roy Lawrence

January 6, 1883 - September 3, 1963

Roy Lawrence was a son to Horace A. and Edna (nee Smithers) Lawrence, pioneers of York Township.  As such, he was a sibling to other people buried in the York Center Cemetery, including: Lois Vandeberg, Orin Lawrence, Floy Huntley (twin), Earl Lawrence, Olive Campbell, Carrie Lawrence, and Horace  H. Lawrence.  In addition, he was a half-sibling to Ida Turner, Burton Lawrence, Lillian Vandeberg, and Melvin Lawrence, who are also buried in York Center Cemetery.  Another half-sibling of Roy's was George Lawrence, who is interred at Tacoma, Washington.  He married the former Sadie Huntley (a sister to Floy’s husband, Harmon).  Roy and Sadie Lawrence’s children include Della Chase, Vivian Vandeberg, Agnes Karlen, and Leta Jacobson.
