Samuel Livingston

October 29, 1832 - January 4, 1899

Born in Canada as a son to John and Anna Jane (nee George) Livingston, Samuel Livingston was the husband of the former Esther Windsor, a daughter of Anson Windsor, an early pioneer of York Township.  Both of Samuel Livingston's parents were born in Ireland. The 1880 plat map of York Township shows Sam Livingston owning 80 acres of land in Section 21.  Therefore, Samuel and Esther Livingston probably came to Clark County from Sheboygan County in the 1870s and were early pioneers of York Township.  Their children included Ella Lindsley (whose son Dean is buried in York Center Cemetery), William Livingston and Fay Livingston (who are also believed to be buried in York Center Cemetery.)
