Butterfield: Estate Checks:

Checks written by J. R. Cantlin on the First National Bank of North Bend, Nebraska. At lease ten of these checks mention the Butterfield name. Others were of similar amounts and could be heirs to the estate. Mr. John Robert Cantlin was the referee. His daughter is the one that had these all clipped together. It is not known if they are all connected to the Butterfield state.
