George was born 27 Nov 1848 in Delavan, Walworth Co., Wisconsin, the son of Henry and Emeline (La Bar) Barlow. 10 Sep 1885, George married Ida Estelle West in Battle Creek, Calhoun, MI. She was born 12 Apr 1857 in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY, the daughter of James M. and Lydia F. (Owen) West. George and Ida were the parents of a son who died in infancy and a daughter, Elsie who died 26 Sep 1936.
George died 25 Sep 1923 in Owen, Clark, WI and Ida died 23 Apr 1941, in Spring Green, WI.
