Ida Voight
June 7, 1894 - October 11, 1970
Ida (nee Vandeberg) Voight was a daughter of John and Lillian (nee Lawrence) Vandeberg. Lillian Vandeberg was a daughter of Horace A. Lawrence, an early York Township pioneer and Civil War veteran, and his first wife, the former Lorinda Windsor (a daughter of Anson Windsor, another York pioneer). Horace Lawrence was a son of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who also came to York Township in the 1870s. Three of Ida’s siblings: Alvin, Manley and Horace Vandeberg are interred in the York Center Cemetery. Ida married Ed Voight, a son of Julius and Caroline Voight, early settlers of York Township. Two of Ed and Ida Voight’s children, Ruby and Lyle Voight, are also buried in York Township.
