HISTORY OF THE LUPIENT FAMILY

THE CHILDREN OF GABRIEL ADOLPHUS LUPIENT

1) LETITIA MARY was born Feb 6, 1867 in Necedah, Wisconsin and died in1884 near Aberdeen, South Dakota at the age of 17 from Diphtheria.

2) WILLIAM "FRANK" FRANKLIN was born May 7, 1868 in Necedah, Wisconsin and died Feb 3, 1942 in Junction City, Wisconsin. He married Clara Elnora Benter on Sept 26, 1900 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Clara was born Oct 30, 1877 in Theresa, Wisconsin and her parents were Wilhelm/William Johan Benter and Amelia Koepsell, who were both "first generation-Americans." Her parents had immigrated to Wisconsin in the early 1840’s from Pomeranian, also called Prussia.

Frank Lupient died from heart disease on Feb 3, 1942 in Junction City, Wisconsin. He died at the home of his daughter, Lorraine, who was then living in Junction City and who cared for him during his final illness. The Curtiss farm was sold after his death. Clara lived with her youngest daughter in Wausau until her death on Apr 18, 1966. Frank and Clara were buried in St Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Curtiss, CLARK COUNTY. (The church was formerly known as the Norwegian Lutheran church.)

Clara was one of 5 children and her parent’s only daughter. Her family had relocated to Marshfield from the Theresa, Wisconsin area. Clara worked as a seamstress before their marriage. Before Frank took over the family farm near Curtiss, he worked for the Han's Billies Novelty Factory in Marshfield, Wisconsin and also as a carpenter.
