Adobe Reader required. This first draft document is a rough computerized translation. I am working on a more accurate translation with additional information. Wilfried Hübner and I were working on translating two books related to the Sternitzky family history: the above book and the Bicentennial Memorial Book for the Lutheran Church at Pawellau (1709-1909). We decided to finish the Pawellau bicentennail book first, so that I could personally present it to the current church officials and regional historians prior to 2009.  My wife and I visited the church at Pawellau (which was renamed Paulskirch in 1938, and is now named Pawlów Trzebnicki) in October of 2008. We presented the bicentennial book to the the church and to the Director of the Regional Museum at Trzebnica (the county seat which was named Trebnitz when the Sternitzky family lived in that county). Our visit sparked interest and resulted in the 300 Year Celebration of the Church at Pawlów Trzebnicki, which I was honored to attend on June 28, 2009.  James W. Sternitzky PhD

Delmar Ernest Sternitzky (1928-2010) Obituary for Delmar Sternitzky .  The original obituary for my uncle Delmar incorrectly listed his place of birth as Granton. He was born at the farmhouse of his parents in Lynn Township. Uncle Delmar began collecting family and Clark County history long before I was born.  In 1980, he loaned me his handwritten notes of the Sternitzky, Garbisch and Burdick family histories for transcription and organization. His research became the foundation and inspiration for me and many other family history researchers.  Through his work, our family found our roots.
