1870 Real Estate and Personal
Property Assessment Roll
State of Wisconsin, Wood County
I, G. H. Sexton, assessor for the
town of Lincoln in said county, do solemnly swear that the affixed
assessment role (sic) contains as I verile (sic) believe a complete
and perfict (sic) entry and list of all real property liable to
assessment in said town.
A correct description of the
separated parcels of real property assessed together last year and
now required to be assessed separately with a proper division of the
former consolidated valuation thereof. That i (sic) have valued each
parcel of real property from an actual view of said parcel, that i
(sic) have as far as practicable personally viewed and inspected
each artical (sic) personal property assessed by me.
That the valuation of the real
property as set down in said role (sic) is as determined by me or as
corrected by the bard (sic) of review.
That each valuation of property made
by me is the full value which could ordinarily be obtained for the
same at private sale and which i (sic) believe the owner if he
desired to sell would accept in full payment thereof.

and sworn to before me this 7th day of July A.D. 1870.
